As the head of The Ohaus (r) Precision Family, these are the most universal toploading balances around at any price. Add a five year warranty and you have a precision weighing instrument that is exactly right for laboratory and industrial applications.
If you are involved with quality systems, such as ISO 9000, Good Laboratory or Good Manufacturing Practices, Precision Advanced balances provide the security of a fully documented audit trial. At the touch of a button, they print out the weight, the time and date in your choice of US or international format, the ID number of the balance, confirmation of its calibration, an assigned ID or project number and a place to sign your name. Simply select as many or as few elements as you require to verify your results.
For production process to laboratory quality control, you can adapt the display of a Precision Advanced to your specific application, giving you quick, easy to set up visual displays for check weighing. You may choose the simplest display which gives only "over", "under" or "accept" messages combined with a modified FillGuide. If a numerical display is required, the Precision Advanced can be programmed to either display actual weights or to only display weights within programmed tolerances.
If you manufacture bottles, or fill bottles with liquids, a Precision Advanced will simplify your volume calculations. Using the density of your product and the weight of the sample, the balance will print out liters, milliliters, fluid ounces or quarts. Access its check weighing and statistical capabilities at the same time and a Precision Advanced maximizes your control of the entire process.
The Precision Advanced series percent weighing feature lets you precisely mix components without first weighing them separately. For example, just pour component "A" into your container, call it 80%, and fill to 100% with component "B". What you end up with is a perfect 80/20 mix.
The statistics feature of a Precision Advanced can be accessed to work in conjunction with other features like formulating, check weighing, parts counting, animal weighing or general weighing to speed up your analysis procedures. It will memorize the data on up to 255 consecutively numbered samples, print it out and let you select standard deviation, mean, sum, maximum or minimum and the range according to your needs.
With a Precision Advanced, you won't overshoot or undershoot your target weight. The balance gives you a choice of filling to a reference weight or to zero. It also offers two methods to prohibit overfilling giving you fast, accurate results: the FillGuide , a graphic representation of how close you are to your target weight, and an audible beep that signals when you have reached it.
A Precision Advanced makes quick work of counting the very smallest parts in your inventory. It documents the time, date, average piece weight and user name. It will even document the total number of parts counted. Just select the accuracy you require and an initial sample size between 5 and 100. The balance automatically indicates how many more parts must be added to ensure your chosen accuracy.
Animal weighing couldn't be simpler than with a Precision Advanced. Just initiate its animal weighing function and place the subject on the plan. The balance does not rest. No need to reset or reprogram from animal to animal. The result is improved accuracy and considerable time saved. Perhaps merely calling it "Advanced" was an understatement.
Movable Fine Range - Provides a smaller yet 10 times more precise weighing range which can be recalled anywhere throughout the full capacity of the balance. This allows weighing of small samples in large containers. When the container weight is tared, the balance will automatically return to the fine range.
FILL GUIDE - Easy to read display lets you know quickly how much of the balance's weighing range has been used, even if the balance has been tared. For filling and check weighing applications an exact target weight can be programmed into the balance.
CALTEST - Offers a choice of three calibration methods; span, linear or selectable manual entry of a calibration mass and/or entry of the span calibration value (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full). To ensure reproducibility, a calibration test allows a check of a known calibration mass against stored calibration information.
AUTO TARE - Eliminates the need to manually tare each initial weight. Especially useful when doing multiple weighings of samples with containers.
AUDIBLE BEEP - Confirms completion of specific functions. When selected the beep will indicate when tolerance marks have been achieved, automatic taring has occurred or upon completion of the animal weighing cycle, or upon each key press.
Eight environmental features; digital temperature compensation; auto-zero tracking; RS232 bi-directional interface; menu lock-out; factory reset option; weigh below capability (except GT8000 and GT8000T); stainless steel pan with shock absorbing pan support; raised spill ring; diecast metal case with corrosion resistant epoxy paint; sealed front panel; in-service cover.
INDUSTRY LEADING WARRANTY - Every Ohaus(r) Precision Advanced balance is protected by a 5 year warranty on labor and parts. Rugged construction and stringent quality control have been hallmarks of Ohaus(r) scales and balances since 1907.
